DAY 01.-

Reception at the airport, transfer to PS's office to prepare for the river trip and boarding our motorized dugout canoes. On occasions if the weather permits it we will be driven in the bus for 30 minutes to a native community to board the canoe, saving 2 hours of the boat ride. Depending of the hour we will have either a box lunch on the boat or lunch at arrival to the EI. During the trip we may see caymans, turtles and waterfowl, etc. After approx. 3 hours we will arrive at the EI lodge where we will be received with a welcome drink. We are now deep inside pristine rainforest and surrounded by its sounds. After a short rest we will have a short hike to a small lagoon and return in time to enjoy a jungle sunset at Sunset Point. Before dinner our guide will give us a lecture explaining about the Ayahuasca and its importance and uses in the local communities. At dinner our guide or the RNs will be available to answer questions or brief us on the Amazon rainforest.
DAY 02.-

After an early breakfast, guided by one of our RNs, we will start a 3 ½ miles hike to Cocococha oxbow lake. On the way we will observe exotic plants and insects, colorful butterflies and birds, monkeys and, with luck, perhaps even some of the large mammals. At the lake we can observe the giant river otters from a hide. Canoes will also be available for a ride around it watching the wildlife on the shoreline. Return to the EI for a late lunch. After meal we will have a couple of hours to get ourselves ready for the Ayahuasca session, to afterwards meet the Shaman who will direct the ceremony. This is the best moment to ask him all our queries. At dinner time will we have a light dinner before beginning the magical ritual of Ayahuasca which will last approx. 3 hours. Overnight at EI.
DAY 03.-

After breakfast we meet the Shaman again and share our experiences of the previous night, who will be able to answer and explain us everything related to the ceremony. We will spend the rest of the morning visiting the local community farms. Return to the lodge, lunch and afternoon at leisure. Before dinner we will board again the canoe for a short night ride to spot with flashlights caymans on the river banks. After returning we will have dinner with the residents.
DAY 04.-
Very early wake up and breakfast. Boarding of the canoe to return to Pto. Maldonado watching an unforgettable dawn on the Tambopata river. Transfer to the airport for return flight.
